Welcome to Edina Boys Flag Football!

Who: Open to boys entering 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade in the fall of 2009. If there are enough players, the league will be divided by grade level. Otherwise, there will be two leagues -- a 6/7th grade league and an 8/9th grade league.

What: Flag football is a NON-CONTACT sport. Velcro flags are worn and pulled off for a "tackle". There will be approximately 8 boys per team with 5 on 5 play. Flags and jerseys will be provided. Turf shoes or rubber cleats are recommended. No experience is necessary and everyone plays. The primary objective of this program is to have fun! We will use rules established by NFL Youth Flag Football.

When: Regular season games are played Saturday mornings beginning September 12 and ending October 24 (no games 10/17). Final games are played Monday, October 26 under the lights at Kuhlman Field.

Where: Games will be played at fields in the Edina area. Practices are usually 30 minutes before each game.

Cost: Registration fee is $75.00. Send in your registration form and check by Friday, July 24, 2009.
